Candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and completed 03 Years diploma course from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) recognised Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate in any of the following diploma courses:-
Engineering: - Marine Engineering & Systems, Mechanical, Production/ Automobile, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Repair and Maintenance, Power Plant Engineering, Industrial/Production, Maintenance, Machine, Manufacturing/ Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, Instrumentation, Electronics Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
Electrical:- Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation Technology, Electronics, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
Pay Scale:- As Per Rule.
Mode of Selection:-
Stage I: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) Computer-Based Exam: Candidates first appear for the INET, which tests subject-specific knowledge along with general aptitude. State-Wise Shortlisting: Based on the marks obtained in the exam, candidates are shortlisted for the next phase. Cut-off marks are determined on a state-by-state basis Stage II: Assessment and Medicals Shortlisted candidates are called to a designated naval center (such as INS Chilka) for the following evaluations Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Mandatory physical standards require a 1.6 KM run, squats (uthak baithak), push-ups, and bent knee sit-ups. Written Examination: A secondary written test designed specifically for Stage II. Recruitment Medical Examination: Comprehensive medical and visual standards tests are conducted by military doctors. Final Selection A final state-wise merit list is formulated after the Stage II tests. The selected individuals then undergo final medical formalities before enrollment.
