Age Relaxations permissible beyond the upper age limit for different categories of applicants, including SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), Ex-Servicemen (3 years after deduction of military service), Sportspersons (5 to 10 years depending on SC/ST status and level of representation), and Departmental candidates of Delhi Police (up to 40, 43, or 45 years based on their category: UR/EWS, OBC, or SC/ST, respectively).

Nationality/ Citizenship : Candidates must be citizens of India.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
Driving Skills: Should be capable of driving heavy motor vehicles confidently.
Driving License Requirement: Must hold a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license (valid on the closing date of the online application form).
Technical Knowledge: Should possess basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
Height: The minimum requirement is 170 cm, which is relaxable by 5 cm. A reduced height requirement of 165 cm applies to residents of specified Hill areas (like Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Dogras, etc.), candidates from certain North-Eastern states, ST candidates, and sons of serving, retired, or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff.
Chest: The minimum requirement is 81−85 cm with a mandatory minimum expansion of 4 cm. And 5 cm relaxation in chest measurement is available for residents of the specified Hill areas, ST candidates, and sons of serving, retired, or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff.
Candidates up to 30 years must complete the 1600-meter race in 7 minutes, clear a Long Jump of 12.5 feet, and achieve a High Jump of 3.5 feet.
Candidates above 30 to 40 years must complete the 1600-meter race in 8 minutes, clear a Long Jump of 11.5 feet, and achieve a High Jump of 3.25 feet.
Candidates above 40 years must complete the 1600-meter race in 9 minutes, clear a Long Jump of 10.5 feet, and achieve a High Jump of 3 feet.
Pay Scale – Rs.21,700-69100/- (Level-3)
Selection Process: CBT Exam, PE&MT, Driving Test, Document Verification and Medical Exam.
The exam is a computer-based, objective-type test consisting of a total of 100 questions for 100 marks.
The time duration for the entire test is 90 minutes.
There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
The subject related to Road Sense, Vehicle Maintenance, and Traffic Rules carries the highest weightage with 50 questions (50 marks).
General Awareness/GK and General Intelligence each contribute 20 questions (20 marks), while Numerical Ability contributes 10 questions (10 marks).
The Trade Test is qualifying in nature and totals 125 marks; these marks do not determine the final merit position.
Driving Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) is tested for 50 marks (25 qualifying), covering Driving (Forward), Driving (Backward), and Parking.
Driving Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) is also tested for 50 marks (25 qualifying), covering Driving (Forward), Driving (Backward), and Parking.
Knowledge of Traffic Signs/Road Sense/Basic Driving Rules is tested for 25 marks (12.5 qualifying), including topics like Lane Driving, Overtaking Procedure, and Road Map Reading.
Knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance is tested for 25 marks (12.5 qualifying), covering practical aspects like tire pressure, battery level, oil usage, coolant, and belt/hose tension.
