RRB Group D Result 2026 Date Out?
The Railway Recruitment Board is expected to be release the RRB Group D Result 2026 after 23rd June 2026* at the official website rrbcdg.gov.in. Along with result, the authority will also upload the merit list pdf, cut off marks zone wise in pdf format. Railway Group D Result Court Case 2026: Finally Over!
The Railway Group D Result 2026 was delayed due to a court case filed by some Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA) candidates in the Telangana High Court. The petitioners raised concerns over the method used to award weightage marks in the final merit list and alleged that candidates who completed apprenticeship training after 2022 received an unfair advantage. Because of the ongoing legal proceedings, candidates were eagerly waiting for clarity on the recruitment process. However, the court has now allowed the Railways to continue the recruitment process and declare the RRB Group D Result 2026.
The long-awaited court case related to the RRB Group D Result has finally seen a major development. The Telangana High Court has allowed the Railway Recruitment Boards to continue the recruitment process and declare the result. Following are the Judgements related to Railway Group D Court Case.
- The High Court has permitted the Railways to proceed with the recruitment process under CEN 08/2024. This means there is no restriction on the declaration of the RRB Group D Result and further selection stages.
- The Railway Recruitment Board has opened the application modification window for RRB Group D CCAA candidates under CEN No 08/2024 from 17th June to 23rd June 2026, allowing applicants to update their application details, including NCVT certificate information and marks.
- The petitioners had requested the court to prepare the final merit list only on the basis of CBT scores and remove the one-third weightage given to CCAA candidates. However, the court did not accept this demand and refused to change the recruitment criteria.
- The court stated that changing the merit calculation method after the recruitment process has started would amount to rewriting the recruitment rules. Therefore, the current formula of CBT marks and NCVT weightage will remain unchanged.
- While rejecting the major relief sought by the petitioners, the court observed that the concerns regarding transparency and uniformity in awarding weightage marks cannot be completely ignored.
- The Directorate General of Training (DGT) has been directed to examine the representations submitted by the petitioners regarding the 2022 policy changes and the method used for awarding weightage marks to CCAA candidates.
- The court instructed the Railway authorities to conduct proper scrutiny and eligibility verification of all candidates applying under the CCAA quota during the document verification stage.
- Only 15 Vacancies Kept Reserved – As a precautionary measure, the court directed the Railways to reserve 15 vacancies until the final disposal of the main writ petition. The remaining vacancies can be filled as per the recruitment process.
